Welcome back to a brand new episode of Duncan and Bo Go to Twin Peaksies! This time around, we are tackling episodes 3 & 4 of Twin Peaks: The Returnsies, and with the usual care and meticulous analysis you have come to expect. Also, how Trump helps terminally ill Americans, getting deep on Ridley Scott, Game of Thrones‘ Bo-centric episode, the welcome arrival of Dougie, a pretty good explanation of what’s going on (we think), Naomi Watts joins the show (with a theme song), Denise and Lynch’s victory lap, #FuckChad, heeeeeey Bobby Briggs is back, Wally effin’ Brando, Winston Churchill impressions, three-legged dogs and so much more! Seriously, though, #FuckChad.

Before diving into the new season, we detour into talk of those new It and Mother trailers, debate the worst Tarantino film, Duncan sees through Bo’s Flying Monkeys ruse, hot dragon action, and then finally get around to talking Twin Peaks. How amazing is DoppelCooper? Why is Matthew Lillard so old? And James is back! All this and much, much more! Jump in!

Let’s be honest withe each other. This is a long show. We spend almost five hours discussing everything in between the final scene of Twin Peaks season two and the new episodes. We begin with The Secret Diary of Laura Palmer, a real bummer of a book written by Jennifer Lynch. Why is this book such bad fan service? Why is Leo so much cooler? Then, we turn our attention to Fire Walk with Me, which is way better than you remember. We comb through this much-maligned film to point out what a great horror movie it is. Also, it’s a terribly, terribly sad movie. Chet gets a voice, and we truly begin to unpack the mythology of Twin Peaks. If you thought that was weird, we then go to The Missing Pieces, a collection of outtakes and extended scenes that help flesh out this universe. And, finally, we deep dive on the lore with Mark Frost’s The Secret History of Twin Peaks, a terrific epistolary novel in which we learn all sorts of weird and wonderful trivia, including owl-people, Hawk dunking on James and the horror trope roots of the Twin Peaks universe. It’s time to nerd out on the spirits of the Black Lodge, Duncan’s [...]

No new Twin Peaksies this week as I quickly learn to read so we can talk about the supplemental reading, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t get a heapin’ helping of Dunacn and Bo! Take a trip back in time when all we did was talk about movies – in this case, two of the most hilariously awful movies of all time. Nothing can prepare you. Join us, won’t you?

It’s the end of an era as Duncan and Bo go to the original series one last time, where we take a very serious and studied approach to Twin Peaks as a television institution, but not before we talk a little Preacher, Game of Thrones and the pleasant surprise of Michael Keaton’s renaissance. Also, the deliriously exciting return of Mark Frost and David Lynch to the show, a whole lot of loose ends, Leostein getting interesting, Windom Earle debates weird ways to kill people, how David Lynch is the world’s most famous troll, more Pinhead food reviews, Donna identifies various untruths and refuses to pass the peas, Master of Disguise Windom Earle dons his greatest disguise yet, Pete Martell weighs in on video games, the great Double R rampage, Donna and the Haywards get weird and the greatest 15 minutes in television history. It’s been a ride, but we’re coming in for a landing and we answer all your burning questions, like “How’s…?” No, not yet!

With only four episodes left, we start to say goodbye to some old favorites while we are getting giddy with the approach of the final episode! Also, Hopscotch the crap Beetlejuice, a bit of Rick & Morty love, Hell House, LLC., Sadako vs Kayako, The Ouija Experiment 2, fat Pinhead, liking Twin Peaks again without irony, Leostein is filled with music, Wilford Brimley as hype man, Windom Earle comes into his own, the birth of Cannie, feeling bad for Leostein and the reappearance of everyone’s favorite giant. More than five hours of Duncan and Bo Go to Twin Peaksies this week? That’s how you know we love you. We’re closing in on the end of season two and things are heating up! With Josie now part of the furniture (or whatever), Harry’s hitting the bottle and we’re there to follow him to the bottom. Hawk keeps it classy, Mike and Nadine are exploring the realm of the sensual, David Warner’s too-brief time with us is lamented, we pitch the new show Coop and Hawk, catch up with James on the road, muddle through some business with Donna’s mom and Ben and, of course, chart the return of Agent Cole and the eternal thumbs up!

We’re playing a bit of catch-up, but let the feast of St. Cooper begin! First up, “The Condemned Woman,” an episode all about Josie Packard (sigh). Also, Billy Zane joins the cast and gets his dumb voice. We also manage to chat about the new season of Twin Peaks (no spoilers!), the solid found footage film Capture Kill Release, plans for life after Twin Peaks, we get a much-needed referee to keep us on track, the definition of “playing grab-ass,” Big Ed’s big decision, Bo’s admiration of wood chips and, of course, what the hell is going in the final scene.

Ladies and gentlemen, let us continue our careful and professional examination of the landmark television series, Twin Peaks. Herein, you will find your stalwart companions, Duncan and Bo, debate the meandering storylines of these episodes, propose a new movie based on the legend of Madam Deadtooth, celebrate the James-ness of this twin-pack of episodes, chat about M. Night Shyamalan’s Unbreakable and the groundbreaking American Gods and once more lament what has become of Donna. Also, Madam Deadtooth’s elaborate plans to frame James, the introduction of Leostein and we inexplicably sing the theme from Cheers. Try to keep up, things get weird.
